Modern dentistry had made lots of changes over the past few years.  To provide the best possible care for our dental family, we are constantly researching and testing the latest advances.  Not all new technology makes dentistry better.  In order for us to utilize technology in our office there is a specific set of criteria that has to be met:

1.  Does it increase our patients safety?

2.  Does it increase the level of comfort during and after treatment?

3.  Does the finished restoration last longer, or work better?

4.  Is the procedure more predictable (works well every time)?

Our dental patients trust our judgment as dental experts to determine what is in their best interest.  We do not take this trust lightly.  At our practice we have implemented only the best in modern dental technology, notably:

The Bident Bipolar Intraoral Surgical System is the result of over twenty years of experience and development in the fields of neurosurgery and microsurgery. This technology is now specifically adapted to allow the dental practitioner a quantum leap in comfort and rapid healing for many surgical procedures.

The Aseptico DTC rotary endodontic system allows for the fastest and most comfortable root canal ever imagined.  It also provides for a much more consistently higher quality and predictable result.

The Zeon Walkabout provides brilliant, shadowless illumination allowing dental professionals to see into deep recesses while reducing dependence on overhead lighting. Combined with Orascoptic magnifying telescopes, the Zeon Walkabout significantly enhances depth-of-field and magnified resolution, providing superb visual acuity.

Diagnodent is a painless tool used for detecting tooth decay that is not yet visible.  Leaders in the field of dental research agree that, when used by themselves, the traditional methods of detecting tooth decay are inadequate and outdated for modern dentistry. Diagnodent works by scanning for fluorescence (which indicates a hole or “cavity”) below the outer enamel surface. Large undetected cavities can cause pain, and sometimes may need root canal treatment. Fortunately, Diagnodent catches decay early allowing us to place small fillings instead.

Dental X-Rays are a necessary part of any comprehensive exam to detect cavities. The GENDEX 765DC produces superior diagnostic results with true high frequency output and results in excellent gray scale definition with less soft radiation to the patient.
